Ms K is a super busy mom and couldn’t be any sweeter.  The amount of kindness that comes from this woman is immeasurable.  The day we met for her video consultation, she was juggling a lot of things.  I remember thinking “man this is a woman who deserves to have someone take care of her just for a day, I hope she books a session.” And of course, she did otherwise we wouldn’t be here.. Haha!  Sorry, sometimes I make myself laugh from my corniness!

On the day of her shoot, while she was getting pampered in hair and make up, I took as much weight and nervousness off her mind as I could.  I made sure she laughed and felt comfortable because I knew that was the key to letting her true self shine.  And shine she did!  Check out her story- I know you will totally identify with what she has to say.

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?

I had finally gotten to the point in life where I was “okay” with my body. I’m not a stick figure, I’m going on 40 next year, and just life in general has been up and down. I had thrown a boudoir session around in my head for a few years but never really jumped on the idea. I’m not sure what changed but one day I decided that I’m not getting any younger and why not go ahead do something for me. I brought the idea up to my husband and he said he’d actually been thinking about prompting me to do one, so it seemed like all of the pieces lined up and there was no better time than now.

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

I have never really thought myself pretty or capable of producing an image that you normally think of when it comes to wearing lingerie. I was concerned that I wouldn’t look good, flab would be on display and that you could tell that I had no clue as to what I was doing. Those worries completely went out the window when I saw my images. My nerves of not looking like the “normal” lingerie image became insignificant because, even with my flaws, even with my flab, I looked good. I looked beautiful. And I looked hot. I may not look like that every day or feel that way every day but that was me. I have that in me. That is something I strive to always remember.

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

Cassy helped me feel like I am beautiful. I have never seen myself the way these images portrayed me. On my low days, hectic days, days where I’m tired, the days I can’t get out of pajamas, or even the days that I see another beautiful person and find myself lacking I am able to take out my album and remember I have these images in me. I am the pictures. My husband, after viewing the album, looked at me and said that he hopes I am now able to see me as he has always seen me. For the first time in my life I feel like this is a possibility for me.

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

It was more than I expected. I wasn’t expecting to be proud of myself or let my inhibitions and nerves go. Cassy made me feel completely at ease and made sure to only do what I was comfortable with. Never in a million years would i see myself completely comfortable with someone I had just met as they are pointing a camera at me while I lay naked on a bed…but she has that personality and aura about her that makes you feel like you’re safe and unjudged. That was something I wasn’t expecting but am completely grateful for.
