When Ms P reached out to book a session for her 50th birthday, I was beyond excited.  Many times I’ve heard from women that there is an “expiration date” on your sex appeal as a woman and I couldn’t disagree more.  I LOVE working with women in their 40s, 50s & 60s.  As we go through life, we wear many “hats” and sometimes loose hold of the original bada** woman we were.  When a woman wants to celebrate life & feel her “sexy”, I’m down.

It was so much fun planning and brainstorming for her shoot.  Sharing ideas via Pinterest and then she decided to bring a cake- to say I was excited for her day was an understatement.  And when it got here, she rocked the heck out of her session.  Check out her story (& images) below!

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?

I decided to do the boudoir session because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do and with it being my 50th birthday, I thought, “what a perfect time to do it!” And my husband loves my body which definitely gave me the confidence to make the appointment and just do it. 

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

The outfits. I’ve never bought or worn lingerie for that matter so that was the most difficult part for me.  

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Cassy compare to your prior experience?

I’ve never done anything like this before!

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

Because I didn’t know what to wear, I brought everything and Cassie picked out what she thought would look good. That definitely eased my anxiety. I also enjoyed being pampered for the day. I love getting my hair and makeup done and dressing up (or down, in this case – LOL) so for me, it was the whole experience.  

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

I felt so pretty and sexy the entire day. And then you see the proofs and your like, ‘damn, I look good’. And then I  showed the portraits to my husband and……well……..

Worth every penny

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

Yes, it was absolutely what I was expecting and then some.  It was a great overall experience.  I highly recommend every woman do it, for yourself, for your husband or boyfriend, for your marriage, relationship  – whatever your reason, do it!
