Ms M | Seeing Herself with Fresh Eyes | Iowa Boudoir

“It helped me to see my body differently. It made me appreciate my body and all it does for me. “

Ms M was a little nervous before her shoot. Ladies, there are so many times I hear from women 30+ that boudoir is a young woman’s game. SO UNTRUE! Most of my clients are doing this to celebrate a milestone and there is no better way to celebrate the 40 and above club than with a boudoir session. This session was all about M down to her love for the cardinals and it was epic!

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?

I had wanted to do a boudoir for a while. I’d seen photos of different photographers and thought they were beautiful. It took a while to build up the courage. I wanted to do this for me. I wanted to see myself through different eyes. I have grown a lot in the last several years and have gained confidence in myself. Yet I was very nervous about this setting as it was totally out of my comfort zone. I am so glad I finally committed to it. It was an amazing experience.

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

I worried about being uncomfortable during the shoot. This was my first boudoir. Cassy immediately made me feel comfortable. It was as if she was an old friend. No awkwardness or anxiety once we started

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

I loved how Cassy put me at ease right away. I liked how she posed me down to my toes. I loved my viewing session as I was in awe of the images. pretty awesome to see myself and feel so great about the images

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

This shoot and the viewing of the images were amazing. I felt beautiful and sexy. Especially when viewing the images, I was in awe. It made me feel proud of myself and gave me a new sense of confidence. It helped me to see my body differently. It made me appreciate my body and all it does for me.

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

This experience was more than I expected. It’s almost too difficult to describe with mere words how amazing it feels to see my images, to know that it is me, to love how I look, to appreciate every bit of my body. It has helped me to see myself and NOT focus on what I don’t like about my body. It makes me see and appreciate the strength and beauty that is all me.

Is there anything extra you would like to tell us?

I have already shared my experience with friends. I have shared that there is no reason to feel uncomfortable, that Cassy makes you feel welcome, and like a friend. I have told them about her posing, which is a big deal. Most of us don’t know how to pose for professional pictures. I highly recommend a session to every woman.
