There’s a special kind of trust built when a client returns for a second boudoir session. It speaks volumes about the experience, the comfort, and the lasting impact of the images. For Ms. K, a remarkable woman who has now done three boudoir shoots (two with me!), her most recent session was particularly meaningful. You can find her first session with me here.

While her first session years ago was a gift for her husband at the time, this time, the purpose was profoundly different: it was for her – a powerful way to gauge her own growth and confidence since her divorce. What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

I didn’t have any concerns with doing a boudoir shoot. This is my second one with Cassy and I know that she does a fabulous job.

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Cassy compare to your prior experience?

I have actually done 3. Two have been with Cassy and the other was with a photographer just starting to do boudoir photography. I will always choose the ones that were done by Cassy. She has the experience so that nobody feels or looks awkward in the photos.

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

My first one was for my husband at the time to take with him in the truck, but this second one was for me to see how much I’ve grown since my divorce. 

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

The hair and makeup. Everything. It’s so fun because the posing feels somewhat awkward but then when you are seeing the pictures the poses look amazing and not awkward at all. 

Do you feel your images and the services you received were worth the money you paid? How so?

Oh absolutely and I would do it again. The first one I ended up with the app, one in white frame that could go in my ex husbands truck, an acrylic, and an album. My boyfriend has the acrylic in his bathroom and the white frame was hanging on our fridge for the longest time. This second time, I have an album and wall hanging and the wall hanging is going in our bedroom at some point. The amount of confidence the pictures gave me knowing that someone liked them so much to hang them somewhere is just crazy to me.
