“I’m just one of the guys.” How many times have we, as women—especially after forty, juggling kids, careers, and everything in between—felt that familiar sting of not quite measuring up, of always putting ourselves last? It’s a whisper in the back of our minds, telling us we’re not quite “pretty enough” or “beautiful enough.” But what if I told you that feeling is a lie, and the truth is you’re already magnificent, just waiting to see it?

Recently, I had the immense privilege of working with Ms. S, a truly incredible woman who embarked on a journey to rediscover her own inherent beauty. Like so many of us, she confessed to never feeling particularly beautiful when she was younger, often relegated to the role of “one of the guys.” Yet, through her own personal growth, she arrived at a powerful realization: she learned to unconditionally love herself and be present in the moment. Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?

I am a bigger girl who never felt pretty or beautiful when she was younger. I was just one of the “guys”. Growing as a person I’ve learned to absolutely unconsciously love myself and be present in the moment and that’s why I wanted to do a session.

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

my biggest concern when booking my session was being shy in so little clothing. I found out I’m more confident then I thought. 

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Cassy compare to your prior experience?

no but I absolutely loved my experience with Cassy

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

I enjoyed getting pampered for the day and collaborating with Cassy on what posses we wanted to do and what would look best for my body and what I wasn’t completely in love with.

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

it sky rocketed my self confidence, it solidified my self worth and amplified my self image. I fell in love with myself even more after this session and every time I look at my pictures I get to see how other people see me.

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

it was so much much more than what I expected. Cassy is the absolute best at making a woman feel completely comfortable and at easy.
