Ms H is a strong, open woman and a role model.  She dealt with neglect and abuse growing up and an unhealthy relationship.  One day while she was playing with her littles, she decided enough was enough. Her weight was holding her back from playing with her kids how she wanted to.  It was time for a change.  Her story was powerful and I honestly couldn’t wait to get her in front of my lens.  She’s on a path of self discovery and I was honored to become a part of that.  Check out her gorgeous images and her moving story below.

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

Prior to booking my session, I was concerned I would be unable to pose or behave appropriately. I didn’t know how I would be able to “let go” and just be. Immediately after my session, I had a renewed sense of confidence and sexiness that I cannot begin to describe.

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

I had left a particularly unhealthy relationship, and lost just over 150 lbs (now 230). I wanted to fall in love with myself and see the progress i had made. 

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

I most specifically enjoyed the white sheet portion of my session, and wish I would’ve spent more time doing this. It peeled back an additional layer of what I call my onion. 

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

I grew up with abuse and neglect, so when I was 14 I got with my now ex-husband. Although we grew up together, we definitely grew apart. He developed significant mental illness in his mid-twenties and was unable to recognize he needed medication management which assisted in the start of my domestic violence story. After leaving my marriage I lost about 130 pounds and started loving myself. I made the choice to undergo weight loss surgery to continue improving my health for my children… but the question remained… WHO IS HEAVEN? If I am not a wife, a mother, a partner, an advocate, WHO AM I? I got this session to start peeling the onion layers back, to start to learn who I am.  

Do you feel your images and the services you received were worth the money you paid? How so?

The photos were worth EVERY PENNY. I enjoyed my book and digital prints!
