Ms S was one of my first sessions after COVID restrictions were lifted. We started planning her session mid lockdown. Honestly I was a little nervous wearing a mask and new procedures I had in place would effect my client’s comfort level. Nothing is more important to me than my client’s comfort and experience. I worried for no reason and realized that as soon as her inner goddess started to come out to play! Check out her images and what she had to say about her empowered boudoir transformation.
Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?
I had been seeing the ads for this all over Facebook and read a story about how it truly empowered this woman to feel great about herself after being so depressed about the way she looked. I decided it was something I wanted to try. Being a bigger girl most of my life and never really comfortable in my own skin. I hated having my picture taken. Whenever someone pulled out a camera I always hid or offered to take the photo to avoid being in it. I wanted to try something outside my comfort zone.
What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?
That I had no idea what I was doing and I hated my smile and getting my pic taken so were they going to be any good. Now I feel so comfortable. By the time Cassy started taking my pics I was really relaxed and felt totally comfortable.
Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Cassy compare to your prior experience?
This was my first time and I would definitely do it again.
What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?
I enjoyed how during my makeup and hair session we talked and Cassy got to know me. It really made me feel at ease and made the whole taking my clothes off in front of a stranger a bit easier 😆
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
I show these pictures off every chance I get. I love that I can look at them and go “That’s me” I really can look like amazing, and I don’t mind having my picture taken now.
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
I wasn’t really sure what to expect before my session, so the fact that I actually had fun and felt relaxed and completely comfortable was great.
