Let’s talk about priorities. It’s one of my favorite topics… and I’m TERRIBLE at it. To me, making one thing “more important than others is agonizing because EVERYTHING is important to me…. except me. Can you relate? Ms M and I definitely are on the same page. I love being a mother, wife, and taking loving care of each of my clients and M is no different. She is a giver and nurturer- to everyone but herself. One of my most favorite analogies talks about filling everyone’s cup. I love filling everyone’s cup until they spill over. It’s wonderful!

BUT how often do we think about the pitcher we are pouring from? If I am pouring from an empty pitcher, what am I filling those cups with? NADA NOTHING ZILCH! Ms M decided it was time to fill her pitcher. Was her session everything she needed to fill her pitcher? Check it out below plus her gorgeous outdoor boudoir shots!

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?

I am a working mom, in the human services field. I spend so much time caring for others, ensuring they have what they need (including my own family), that I often find myself at the bottom of my priority list. After years of doing this, I realized that I felt like I lost myself. I felt like I was defined by my roles, rather than who I am as an individual. So, I resolved to claim something back for myself. I lost weight, started making more time for myself to do things I enjoy, and then I got a call from my sister. She had done a boudoir session and gushed about it. It was something I was curious about already, from when I was engaged. I just never had the courage to go through with it. After that call, I decided, that this would be a great thing for me to do to reclaim my body and some of “the old me”. So I started my research, found Cassy, and the rest is history!

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Cassy compare to your prior experience?

Nope, but I highly recommend the experience!

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

Cassy made it super relaxing with my favorite music and good conversation, and by telling me exactly how to pose. It felt like I was just hanging out with my gals, not like I would imagine a photo shoot like this to be. 

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

I love looking at my pictures. I haven’t felt this beautiful in a long time. While I am still reconciling with my mommy tummy, I am learning to admire my beauty as a whole person, and I got a bit of myself back in the process. I felt like a younger version of myself, the one that didn’t have so much weighing her down. 

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

It was so much better!!!

Is there anything extra you would like to tell us?

It is wonderful to get a glimpse of yourself from someone else’s eyes. Cassy showed me how much of a bombshell I really am!
