Summer vibes are coming your way today! I know I can use it. I’ve been situated on my semi private acreage for a few years now but I’ve only offered outdoor boudoir sessions since 2019. Nature is a big part of Ms A family and what better way to honor that then a confidence building session! So the planning began!
A is seriously the sweetest, funny, and gorgeous people on this planet. She is kind and doles out compliments left and right to everyone… but herself. It was so awesome to show her transform in front of my lens and all over again when she and her husband came back to pick out their images a week later. Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?
My name is Ms A and I am 25 years old! I got married and had kids young, which I wouldn’t change for the world! But I’ve been self-conscious of my body for years now. I’ve never been thin and then you add baby weight on top of it. After having kids I felt uncomfortable in my loose skinned and stretch marked body. I was told to cover it because no one wants to see that! I never celebrated this body that brought me two beautiful boys, and thats exactly what I wanted to do! I’ve always believed that every body is beautiful, but I found that I thought the opposite for myself. This experience was about seeing myself in a new light, realizing that a mom body is a beautiful body, and that I am worth loving.
What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?
I loved that Cassy made me feel flawless! I have never felt more confident in my life! I truly felt like a model during my session!
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
After the shoot I called my husband and said, “Honey you are a lucky man! I am gorgeous!”. Something I never would have said before this shoot. Since this shoot I find it easier to love myself as I am. To give myself grace. I can look at those pictures and know that I am confident, strong, compassionate, and beautiful!
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
Honestly, I was expecting to be trying to cover up my stomach the whole time and be thinking about how fat I was going to look in these. I was shocked when I finished and realized I didn’t think one negative thought!
Is there anything extra you would like to tell us?
My biggest concern was that I was to big to do boudoir. But now I know that boudoir isn’t made for tiny woman, it’s made to serve as a reminder that confidence in yourself is the best super power you could ever have!
