“It was a session of gratitude for life & love”

Ms T reached out right before Iowa started phased reopening from COVID shutdown. We had a great chat. One of my favorite parts is learning more about the women who inquire to do a shoot. Everyone’s ‘WHY’ is a little unique and I love people’s stories and backgrounds. Her husband’s birthday was coming up and what better way to surprise him than with a gift he could never buy himself. And she NAILED IT!

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session?

I married the love of my life at 21 years old. I married him shortly after he received his last chemotherapy treatments for a cancer that we originally thought would take his life. His treatment went really well and he is now cancer free! But his experience, and those of many other loved ones, taught me that I don’t have a second to waste in life. I decided that I’m certainly not going to waste my life worrying about being “perfect”. I decided to do a boudoir session with Cassy because I wanted to celebrate my life and my uniquely wonderful, capable body. It was a session in gratitude for life and love.

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now? My biggest concern was the cost. But now that I’ve got my album, I can say it is 100% worth it! 

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Cassy compare to your prior experience? I have never done a boudoir shoot before!

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why? I loved how fun and comfortable it was! I was expecting to feel a little shy or awkward, but I never did.

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story. This boudoir session was and is a reminder for me to love and appreciate my body for all of the many things it is capable of! It’s not always easy to see my own beauty, but my album serves as a good reminder to be confident in myself.
