Not every client books their session with me the first time they reach out. Case in point- Ms K. We had briefly spoke about a year prior to her booking her session. This was something she knew she wanted to do it her way and save up for the experience.

During her consultation we spoke a little bit about why she wanted to do a session. As a mom of both younger and grown kids, she felt she had lost a little bit of her allure. Add a long distance relationship with her significant other to the mix, she didn’t have a ton of reasons to feel sexy on the daily. We decided to fix that!

While she planned on giving her beau an album from her portraits, the real gift was to herself. A way to reconnect with her sensual side and celebrate this milestone in her life. Most women come into boudoir photography thinking it’s a young woman’s game and that is far from the truth!

Many of my clients are in the 40+ age range and those are some of my favorite sessions to create!

You see I joined the 40 club last year and I feel like you come to a better understanding that life is too short to always worry about what everyone else wants or expects from you. This is your time to shine and remember who you are deep down and celebrate that! So we incorporated her love of journaling and chai tea- so fun and very nerdy chic!

And of course we had to do some white sheet portraits. Her tattoo on her arm is a special nod to her sister. They both have a mirrored tattoo so when they come together, it forms the full butterfly. What an amazing testament to a gorgeous relationship between siblings.
