“A boy’s story is the best that is ever told.” – Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was indisputably a literary genius and by all rights, a very smart man. He knew how to tell a story and, as the most notable writers of the Victorian era, even he knew that boys have the best stories! Now don’t get me wrong- little girls have fabulous stories to be told, but there is something just special about the energy and animation a little boy puts into his prose. Here enters Chance.
It had been over a year since he and I had hung out so understandably he was a little skittish and took a little bit of time to become reacquainted with me- just a little bit though. Sure my Canon camera had to be the sacrificial olive branch that brought us together but how can anyone look at that devilish little grin of his and NOT want to play! We came to bargaining- for every few clicks I got with my Canon, and I ended up not being his only muse that day. My husband and both his parents have now been “captured” by a next generation artist- and when I tell you Chance has creativity I’ve never seen, you better believe! (Stay tuned and make sure to follow the blog for future posts showcasing Chance’s avant garde portraiture.) After loosening up a bit and getting some great shots of this little guy, he told me he has some special news to share with the world. But that will have to be released in a future post because this photogenic little man just had too many cute ones from his regular session I couldn’t cut back. Thanks Chance for making me work a little and play a lot that day. Can’t wait for #3 which is just around the corner!
